Tasar World Championship 2017 begins at Kaiyo Yacht Harbour in Gamagori, Japan. 97 Tasars are entered form 5 countries. 57 boats form Japan as host country and 33 boats form Australia. Also participate from Holland, UK and USA.
The entry list is very variety of sailors from Olympic medalists and Sunday family sailors, from age of 8 to 79. Five pairs of Tasar champions are participating in the event include the current Tasar World Campion, Chris Dance with a young gun, Jeremy Elmslie. Of course Japanese Tasar sailors are aiming for first world title ever. Tasar World 2017 will be very close race.
On Monday 31 July is Practice Race Day and real battle stars on Tuesday 1 August and concludes on Sunday 6 August.
